Extension Services Objectives


EXTENSION SERVICES AGENDA

The E-HEAL Program of the ESD office aims to give services to deprived, depressed, and underserved communities based on economic status, topography and literacy. To realize the dream of an integrated, peaceful, stable and sustainable community development, the E-HEAL program aims to:

Education and Humanities – To increase literacy in underserved communities by providing scholarship programs through school supplies, uniforms and miscellaneous allowance graduation assistance and leadership trainings and seminars on children’s Rights. Under the 10 Point Socio-Economic Program of the Duterte Administration, this program is in harmony with the aim of the government to invest in human capital development, including health and education system, match skills and training, which is also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal #4 (Quality Education) of the UNDP.

Health and Environment – To minimize malnutrition in the country and improve the health of children by providing feeding programs and to provide a cleaner, healthier environment not only for today’s generation but for the next generation as well as well by educating our people in the community thru our tree growing project, clean up drive including Brigada Eskwela. This program is based on the UNDP Sustainable Goal #3, which targets, quality health and well-being for everybody and #13 for Climate Action.

Engineering and Technology – To provide island coast communities access to technology in distributing facilities and equipment that would help increase their livelihood income. This program target to assist in the goal of government in promoting science, technology and the creative arts to enhance innovation and creative capacity which also synchronize with the UNDP Goal #9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.

Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery – To educate and provide the needs of our small farmers and fisherman as well as to promote organic farming, vermicomposting, bangus culture, and clonal nursery. This program mainly created to assist in the promotion of rural and value chain development toward increasing agricultural and rural enterprise productivity and rural tourism, and to protect life below water and life on land in UNDP Goal #14 & 15.

Livelihood and Entrepreneurship – As congruent with the UNDP Sustainable Goal #8, that aims to provide everyone a decent work and economic growth, the Extension Services Division strongly supports livelihood training programs for both men and women in communities to ease economic poverty.
